Origin & History

Don Bosco Migrants Services is a Migrants rights based organisation initiated by the Chennai Salesian Province (INM),on May 24, 2015, under the leadership of Fr. Francis Bosco. DBMS (Don Bosco Migrants Services) reaches out to the migrants and the unorganised labourers in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengelpet and Tiruvallur districts. It accompanies the Intra and Inter state young migrants in Agriculture, Domestic work, Construction sites, Brick Kilns, Loading and Unloaders, and in factories and companies. It advocates and works towards Safe migration, Decent work, Working conditions, and Social protection. It offers Labour rights, skill development,Health care and Education for the labourers’ children
