Drug Awareness Program

Purpose and Planning

The program aimed to educate migrant workers on the harmful effects of drug and alcohol abuse and to promote healthy, substance-free living. It was organized as part of DBMS’s ongoing health and welfare initiatives for migrant labourers, addressing concerns of substance abuse within industrial and construction sectors. Preparatory meetings ensured that the session topics, speakers, and activities were engaging and relevant.

Support and Facilitation

The session was supported by Don Bosco Theological Brothers and DBMS Staff, who coordinated the event, motivated participants, and ensured smooth facilitation throughout the program.

Awareness Session Highlights

Participants were sensitized to the physical, psychological, and social effects of drug use. The facilitators encouraged healthy lifestyle choices, self-discipline, and family responsibility. Interactive discussions allowed workers to share personal insights and clarify doubts, fostering active participation and reflection.
