Free General Medical & Eye Check-up Camp for Migrant Workers

INTRO FEATURE STORY

In a continued effort to enhance the well-being of migrant labourers, Don Bosco Migrant Services (DBMS) organized a Free General Medical and Eye Check-up Camp on 13 November 2025. The initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Wockhardt Foundation and the Equidus Foundation, brought essential healthcare services directly to the Migrant Labour Colony at Kumaran Nagar, Sholinganallur.

HEALTHCARE AT THE DOORSTEP

From 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the camp offered comprehensive medical assessments to 72 migrant workers. Participants received general medical consultations, eye examinations, prescribed medicines, and reading glasses. Doctors also provided preventive health advice, emphasizing early detection and regular check-ups.

VOICES FROM THE COMMUNITY

Participants expressed heartfelt gratitude for the timely assistance and personal care offered during the camp. Many appreciated the convenience of receiving medical support within their own living area.

CONCLUSION

The camp concluded on a positive note, reaffirming DBMS’s commitment to migrant welfare and accessible healthcare. Through such initiatives, DBMS continues to strengthen its mission of promoting dignity, health, and holistic development among migrant communities.
