Date: 17th August 2025

Organized by: Don Bosco Migrant Services

On 17th August 2025, Don Bosco Migrant Services conducted field outreach sessions in Ulunthai Village and Mannur Village, aiming to raise awareness among migrant workers about digital health services, welfare schemes, and available support.

Ulunthai Village Session:
The team began the day in Ulunthai Village, introducing residents to Esham, ABHA Health ID cards, and the DBMS app. Migrant workers were guided on how to access healthcare, maintain digital records, and register for welfare schemes. The session also addressed Aadhar-related issues and highlighted the importance of mental health. DBMS staff assisted participants in providing their personal details for registration. During the interaction, one participant reported an eye problem, and the team assured the community that a medical camp would be organized soon to provide necessary care.

Mannur Village Session:
After completing the Ulunthai session, the team proceeded to Mannur Village, conducting a similar introductory session for migrant workers. Participants were introduced to DBMS services, ABHA Health IDs, and welfare schemes, and were assisted in recording their details in the DBMS app for future follow-ups.

Key Outcomes:

* Migrant workers gained practical knowledge about digital health services and DBMS programs.

* Personal details were successfully collected for registration in the DBMS system.

* Identified healthcare needs, such as eye care, to be addressed in upcoming medical camps.

* Strengthened trust and engagement between DBMS staff and migrant communities.

Conclusion:
The field visit to Ulunthai and Mannur villages was highly productive, combining awareness-building, digital registration, and needs assessment. The outreach reflects DBMS’s commitment to empowering migrant communities through education, digital inclusion, and access to health services.
