Date: 14th September 2025
Place: Kannanthangal, Tamil Nadu
Organized by: Don Bosco Migrant Services
Supported by: DBMS Staff, Ms. Roshni (CEAT CSR Manager) & Mr. Mohamad
Participants: 25 Migrant Labourers.

The program aimed to highlight how education can transform lives. Many of the participants shared their struggles of balancing work and family responsibilities, often leaving little room to focus on their children’s studies. Through interactive discussions, the session emphasized that education is not only a pathway to better opportunities but also a powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty and exploitation.

Ms. Roshni encouraged the parents to see education as an investment for their children’s dignity and future, while Mr. Mohamad shared practical tips on how families could motivate their children despite hardships. The program created a safe space for participants to reflect on their dreams for their children and the role they play in shaping those dreams.

By the end of the session, there was a visible sense of hope and determination among the participants. Many expressed their resolve to ensure their children’s schooling continues without interruption, despite financial or social challenges.

This program served as a reminder that even small steps taken today—sending a child to school, encouraging learning at home—can pave the way for a brighter tomorrow.
