Introduction
The "Addiction and Depression Awareness Program" was successfully held on 1st March 2025 at the OMR Migrant Labour Colony, Chennai. The event was organized by Don Bosco Migrant Services with the support of Don Bosco Brothers from Kavarapettai. This awareness program aimed to address the critical issues of addiction and depression, both of which are growing concerns in communities across the nation. The program was attended by 180 participants, primarily consisting of individuals from the migrant labor community, and sought to inform them about mental health, addiction, and depression, along with preventive strategies and available support systems.
Objectives of the Program
The main objectives of the program were as follows:
Raise Awareness: Increase awareness about the prevalence and impact of addiction and depression within the community.
Mental Health Education: Educate participants about the symptoms, causes, and consequences of addiction and depression.
Prevention and Support: Highlight methods of prevention and available support structures for those struggling with mental health issues.

Program Overview
The program began at 10:00 AM with an introductory speech, welcoming the participants and emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness. The session proceeded with a series of talks, presentations, and interactive discussions that focused on the following key themes:
