Empowering Displaced Women through Beauty Arts Training

Introduction: In a concerted effort to enhance the livelihood opportunities for displaced women residing in the Kannagi Nagar area of Chennai, the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB) and Skill Development Board have embarked on a transformative initiative. Commencing on the 10th of April, a comprehensive beauty arts training course has been initiated at the Don Bosco Migrant Office in the Dura iPakkam area, Chennai. This report aims to provide an overview of this impactful program and its significance in empowering women from marginalized communities.

Program Details: The beauty arts training course, launched on the aforementioned date, is tailored to equip 30 displaced women with essential skills and knowledge in the field of beauty and aesthetics. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of topics, including but not limited to skincare, makeup techniques, hairstyling, and salon management. Through hands-on training sessions and theoretical modules, participants are provided with a holistic learning experience aimed at enhancing their employability and economic independence.
