Observance of Children’s Day at Araneri
A celebratory event marking Children’s Day was meticulously organized at the Panchayat Union Primary School situated in Araneri, Sriperumbudur. Upon our arrival, we were graciously received by Mrs. Kalaiselvi, the esteemed Head Mistress of the institution, who extended a warm welcome to all attendees.
The proceedings of the day commenced under the guidance of Fr. Roshan OMI. The primary attractions of the event comprised a poetry recitation and a series of recreational games. The responsibility of adjudicating these competitions was entrusted to Mrs. Kalaiselvi, Mr. Arumugam, and Mr. Abdulla Mushaf.
An enlightening talk was delivered by Mr. Abdulla Mushaf, wherein he underscored the significance of children as the future torchbearers of our nation. Furthermore, a team of Masters of Social Work students, comprising Radha, Prabhat, Sakshi, and Abdulla, facilitated a range of engaging party games. These included tea cup blowing, chalk piece throwing into the cup, balloon bursting, sweet eating, ball passing, construction of cup, duck jump, passing the ball between legs, walking by holding the toe, and bursting the balloon with one’s buttocks.
The event was attended by 30 enthusiastic students, whose participation and spirit added brightness to the day’s proceedings. As the event drew to a close, I had the honor of delivering the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the day. The celebration concluded on a high note with the distribution of snacks to the attendees.
