Labour welfare programs
DBMS in collaboration with Mr. Macklin, a dedicated staff member, to facilitate welfare programs for migrant workers in the construction sector.
DBMS recognizes the importance of labor welfare programs in empowering and supporting workers, particularly those in the construction industry. With over 25 construction sites in Chennai alone, DBMS has taken the initiative to organize various programs that address critical aspects of worker well-being.
These labor welfare programs cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
1. ISM Registration: Informing workers about the benefits and procedures associated with ISM registration. By ensuring proper registration, workers can avail themselves of essential social security benefits and protections.
2. AIDS Awareness: Promoting awareness about HIV/AIDS and providing crucial information on prevention strategies and available resources. This program aims to safeguard the health and well-being of workers by equipping them with knowledge about safe practices.
3. Substance Abuse Awareness: Raising awareness about substance abuse issues prevalent among workers and offering support mechanisms for addiction prevention or rehabilitation. The program strives to create a healthier work environment while addressing any challenges faced by individuals.
4. Safety Awareness: Educating workers on safety protocols and measures within their work environment. By equipping them with knowledge regarding safety procedures, DBMS aims to reduce occupational hazards and promote a safer working atmosphere.
By conducting these labor welfare programs, DBMS aims to enhance the overall well-being of laborers within the construction sector in Chennai while fostering an inclusive work environment that prioritizes their rights and needs.
