An awareness session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) was conducted at ROOP Automotive Ltd., Sriperumbudur, on December 13, 2024. With 216 employees participating, including 119 women and 97 men, the session focused on fostering a safe and respectful workplace by addressing the key provisions of the POSH Act, the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers, and the process of reporting incidents.
The content covered the objectives of the POSH Act and provided actionable insights into maintaining a harassment-free workplace. Through interactive discussions, real-life case studies, and a Q&A session, participants were encouraged to engage and clarify their doubts. The role of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) was also highlighted as crucial to addressing grievances effectively.
The session successfully enhanced awareness of the POSH Act, emphasizing the shared responsibility of creating an inclusive work environment. To sustain this impact, it is recommended that follow-up workshops and regular training sessions be organized. Additionally, clear and accessible communication channels should be established to ensure effective grievance redressal.
