Eye Camp
On December 10, 2024, an eye camp was organized by the “Right to See” Community Eye Health Program to provide essential eye care services to migrant laborers employed at the L&T metro construction site. A total of 75 migrant workers participated in the camp, where comprehensive eye examinations were conducted. Based on the assessments, 53 individuals were recommended to use corrective power glasses to address their vision issues.
The camp successfully addressed the primary vision-related needs of the participating laborers, improving their quality of life and productivity through better eye health. To ensure the effectiveness of this initiative, it is recommended to arrange for subsidized or free distribution of power glasses to the identified individuals, conduct follow-up camps for continuous monitoring, and expand similar initiatives to other construction sites and labor-intensive industries.
The “Right to See” Community Eye Health Program extends its gratitude to the L&T Metro management and the migrant laborers for their cooperation and active participation.
