A sizable peace demonstration was conducted at the RR Stadium in Egmore, Chennai, as part of a peaceful solidarity protest for justice for the Kuki-zo tribal victims of Manipur.

To show support for the Kuki-Zomi community in Manipur, which has been devastated by violence, thousands of individuals, including women and men, young people, children, and other NGO’s and Unions, took part in a peaceful protest.

Fr. Leo spoke on behalf of DBMS when he pledged support for efforts to provide justice, peace, and support to the impacted families as well as for all Manipur students enrolled in Don Bosco Colleges and Schools throughout India. The rally began with chants. Finally, he quoted, “We are Indian, while our brethren are in suffering, we always stand in their suffering, though they are far away 3000km geographically but always they are in our hearts,” to end his address.
