Report of Summer Camp at Pananthope

At Pananthope, the summer camp programme opened at 4:00 p.m. on May 8. For the programme, roughly 24 children were present. The organizers, who also gave some background information on the camp and the impending competitions, divided them into two teams. Fr. Vincent, the assistant director of the migrant services, addressed the students and urged them to participate joyfully in all the events.

At 3.30 p.m. on May 9, the summer camp programme started. About 28 children participated actively. After receiving instruction on moral values, the students engaged in group exercises with the organizers.

The programme for summer camp kicked off on May 10 and 11 at 3.30 p.m. The number of children attending the camp was around 29. A singing competition, a dance competition, and other special events were staged by the organizers. The competitions were open to parents, who were invited to watch.

On May 12 at 4:00 pm at Pananthope, the program’s final day of summer camp officially began. A total of 29 children actively participated in the programme. Parents were encouraged to watch the competitions from the stands. The event organizers conducted a cooking contest and several games for the students. Fr. Francis Bosco, the director of migrant services, visited the camp and spent time with thekids. The programme came to an end with the prize giving.
